Odisha Government sactioned fund to popularize Odia Language
Odisha state government has sanctioned Rs.80 lakhs to a most popular social and cultural organisation 'UTKAL SAMMILANI' and this fund has sanctioned to popularise Odia language and Odisha's culture in bordering states like West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhatisgarh.
This organisation has taken up many programmes for developement of Odisha's culture and Odia language in our neighbour states. Usha Padheee-school and mass education secretary requested district education officers and block officers to monitor the programme regularly.
562 teacher will be appointed by Utkal Sammilani in different pr.school of these states and the money will be utilized to pay salaries these teachers and money also be used in cultural programmes organised in neighboring states.
This organisation had played leading role in the development of Odisha state in april 1935. Mr. Radhanath Praharaj -general secretary of this organisation said Odisha government did not provided any fund for 3 years and that's why teachers had not got remuneration for past many years.80 lakhs is not sufficient for payment of salary to teachers.
Now Odisha govt. has requested these neighbouring state to appoint Odia teachers for school in Odia speaking areas under SSA (Sarva Siksha Abhiyan)
