Odisha institutes figure in India Rankings 2016

SOA(Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University) gets top rank in Odisha and 26 th in the country

NIT Rourkela is the only institute from Odisha to figure among 25 institution in any category in the India Ranking 2016 by MHRD,Govt. of India

SOA & NIT gets top rank in Odisha

It is good to great news for Odisha – the following institutions / universities of Odisha ranked among the top 100 universities in India. 

• KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) of Bhubaneswar, Odisha ranked 32th http://www.kiit.ac.in/aboutus/overview.html 

• NIST (National Institute Science and Technology) Berhampur, Odisha at  69th rank

• CV Raman college of Engineering of Bhubaneswar, Odisha placed in 74th rank

• In the rising star category, IIT Bhubaneswar, Odisha, which started in 2008 -2009, bagged 26th rank. http://www.iitbbs.ac.in/ 

• The National Institute of Technology, Rourkela(NIT) of Odisha ranked 19th in that category http://www.nitrkl.ac.in/ 

The Ministry of Human resources Development initiated ranking the top 100 Indian educational institutes of all categories like engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, colleges, and universities. The main idea is to evaluate the standards of education and the research done for both institutions engaged in research, teaching in Category A, and focusing only on teaching as Category B. 

The key parameters set for evaluation are: 

1. Excellence in research, teaching, learning, 

2. Research, Consulting and collaborative performance

3. Outcome of Graduation

4. Outreach and Inclusivity through education

5. Perception 

 

With hardcore analysis, data collections, direct interviews, infra and students feedback collected by the National Institutional Ranking Framework committee ranked the above institutions in the top 100 Institutions in India. This is a great effort taken by the Odisha government.  The literacy level slowly increasing and economy will also grow. It is good to Great Odisha. Keep more ranking and rocking.
