In Odisha, over 17 thousand rapes and more than 13 thousand cases of murder have been registered in the last ten years. In response to a written question on Monday, the Minister of State for Home gave this information.
Home Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra gave this information on Monday. Mishra said that 17 thousand 528 cases of rape and 13 thousand 246 cases of murder have been reported from the year 2010 to 2019 (May). He gave this information while answering the written question of Congress legislator Narasimha Mishra in the assembly.
The minister said that police registered 18 thousand 524 cases related to riots from 2010 to 2019. Meanwhile, there was a ruckus in the Odisha Assembly on Monday on the issue of law and order in the state. The Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party raged in the assembly for increasing crimes in the state.
