Odisha News:Workers from Odisha are stuck in Saudi Arabia and have become victims of a big deception.
The Odisha government has requested India's ambassador to Saudi Arabia for help in rescuing and bringing back the Odia workers stranded in Riyadh. Some Odia workers, who were working in the Gulf countries, sent messages saying that they are in a difficult situation. In response, the Chief Secretary of Odisha, Pradeep Kumar Jena, wrote a letter to India's ambassador, Suhail Azaz Khan, on July 20, and also sent a copy of the letter to the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs.
In his letter, the Chief Secretary mentioned that out of the stranded workers, 33 are from Odisha, while 10 are from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. They were working under the Gulf Odia Society. The distressed Odia workers can be contacted, and it has been found that their employers (sponsors) are not renewing their residency visas (ikama).
