Odisha has achieved the prestigious status of being a 'Top Performer' in the recent State Startup Ranking conducted by DPIIT. Notably, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Telangana also join Odisha in this esteemed category. Simultaneously, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu have received top awards as the 'Best Performer' states, showcasing a diverse array of startup excellence.
Startup Odisha's Impact and Ambitious Goals
In this success story, Startup Odisha emerges as a key player, fostering over 1,800 startups spanning various sectors, including agri-tech, IT, artificial intelligence, healthcare, fintech, and biotechnology. Remarkably, 42% of these startups are led by women entrepreneurs, emphasizing inclusivity. With a forward-looking vision, the state aims to support a minimum of 5,000 startups by the year 2025, contributing significantly to the nation's entrepreneurial landscape.
Innovation Hub with Extensive Incubation Facilities
Boasting 27 incubators, including the expansive O-Hub covering 4 lakh sqft, Odisha solidifies its position as a thriving innovation hub.
