Introduction to the NUA-O Scholarship Program:
The Odisha government has unveiled the NUA-O scholarship program aimed at providing financial assistance to undergraduate and postgraduate students across the state. This initiative, announced ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections, is part of the government's commitment to promoting education and empowering youth.

Odisha Government Unveils NUA-O Scholarship for Undergraduate(UG) and Postgraduate(PG* Students: Offering Annual Financial Aid of Rs 10,000"
Scholarships will be available to students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at state universities, government, and non-government aided colleges, including Sanskrit colleges under the Higher Education Department. The scholarships for the current academic year will be deposited in the bank accounts of eligible students starting from February 20 onwards.
Moreover, a corpus of Rs 300 crores will be established, and eligible students will receive the NUA-O Magic Smart Card by August. This card will provide additional benefits such as bus/train travel concessions, free wifi, access to online courses, skill development, coaching programs, etc., based on students' performance and participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
Through the NUA-O scholarship program, the Odisha government aims to empower students, especially from marginalized communities, and pave the way for their academic and professional success.
