Educational Qualification for Assistant Professor Post:
- A candidate must fulfill the following criteria:
- Master's Degree: Possess a Master's Degree in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
- For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories, the minimum required marks are 50%.
- National Eligibility Test (NET) or Ph.D. Clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) meant for appointment of Assistant Professor (Stage 1), or have acquired a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or a Foreign University.
- The list of relevant/allied subjects is provided in Annexure "B" attached to this advertisement.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE POST
(a) Candidates should thoroughly review the details provided in this Advertisement on the OPSC website before proceeding to fill the online application form.
(b) Applications must be submitted online through the official OPSC website http://opsc.gov.in. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected.
(c) Before filling out the online application form, candidates must carefully read the detailed instructions available on the OPSC portal.
(d) The online application form is automated and system-driven, guiding candidates seamlessly through the application process. Ensure that accurate information is provided as editing options are limited, and once confirmed, no further changes can be made.
(e) Candidates should upload scanned images of their latest passport size photograph, full signature, and Left-hand Thumb Impression (LTI) in the online application form. These images must be clearly identifiable, otherwise, the application may be rejected by the Commission.
(f) Candidates are advised to keep at least four copies of their latest passport size photograph uploaded in the online application form for future reference.
(g) Upon successful submission of the online Registration, candidates will be assigned a unique "Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN)". They should take a printout of the finally submitted online Registration/Re-registration and Online Application forms, sign the declaration, and submit them to OPSC along with copies of required certificates and documents when requested.
(h) Candidates are encouraged to submit the Online Application Form well in advance to avoid last-minute rush.
(i) "Intimation letters" for document verification & interview and "Attestation form" & "Bio-data form" will be uploaded on the OPSC website before the date of Document Verification/ Interview.
