Bhubaneswar Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Third Odia Cine Awards

The third Odia Film Awards ceremony recently took place at the local Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar. The event brought together various eminent figures from the Odia film industry, including actors, directors, producers, and technicians.

 Honoring the Legends and Emerging Talent

During the ceremony, veteran film director Sabyasachi Mohapatra was honored as the chief guest. Special recognition was also conferred posthumously to the late actor Pintu Nanda for his remarkable contributions to Odia cinema. Additionally, lifetime achievement awards were presented to the esteemed producer and cinematographer duo, Yugala Debata.

Celebrating Cinematic Excellence

The acclaimed Odia film "Daman" was honored as a cinematic masterpiece. Babusan Mohanty received the prestigious Best Actor award for his role in "Daman," while Sabysachi Mishra was also honored with the Best Actor award for his performance in "Pushkara." Additionally, Malgudi Subha was recognized as the Best Playback Singer for her soulful rendition in the film "Daman."

 Recognizing Outstanding Contributions

Both veteran actress Divyadisha Mohanty and Suryamayee Mohapatra were honored as the Best Actress at the ceremony. Sushant Mani, Shishir Sahu, and Pinaki Singh received the Best Director award. Emerging actors like Shailendra Samantray, Rohan Garg, and newcomers such as Elina, Ankita, Tanushree Das, Priyambada Swain, and Dipa Mishra were also recognized and awarded.

 Grand Event and Notable Attendees

Newly appointed directors Anupam Pattanaik and Shubhranshu Das were honored at the event. A total of 75 awards were presented across various categories including music, storytelling, and comedy. Actors Alina, Pushpa Panda, Meghana, Arun Mantri, Bhumika Dash, Papu Pampam, Raj Rajesh, and Sayal graced the occasion. The event was organized in collaboration with Riles & Riles and Anis & Anis Entertainment, and presided over by organizer Sanskar Sangathak Pattanaik. Tapan Das, the guest of honor, introduced the event, while journalist Samir Ranjan Das delivered the welcome speech.
